Internet Marketing or network marketing didn’t become my career overnight.

It started back in 2002 when I responded to a newspaper ad.

I believe it was for a company called Neways. They sold carginegon free products for your home and body.

I bought a lot for myself but didn’t sell any.

So I quit.

In 2008, I joined Herbalife and went through tons of their training. I even had good results regaining the weight I’d lost from my divorce with one of their products.

I never made one sale.

In 2012, I started selling memberships to The Wellness Company known as Melaleauca.

I loved the prodducts for myself. I signed up my best friend! I worked the business!

I earned my first check of $56!

I got discouraged, because I still spent more than I earned.

After about a year of doing childcare from home while trying to be a network marketer, I had gained almost 40 lbs.

So one night at like 2 am, I ordered INSANITY off of an infomercial. ShaunT is amazingly inspirational.

My third day in I pulled a muscle in my core. I wasn’t following the modifier. I hadn’t exercised in years.

2 months and a move later, I signed up for shakeology, ordered hip hop abs and started jogging with my roommate.

I lost 35 lbs and signed up as a Beachbody coach in June of 2013.

I was again doing childcare from home and working my network marketing business.

I was again spending more money on the products then I was making.

I loved the company, the products, the results, the training, everything was perfect.

But I still wasn’t making sales.

I joined a training company called ILN (Internet Lifestyle Network) in November of 2013.

I learned so much about attraction marketing, blogging, shooting videos, and so much more.

In February of 2014, I joined Mary Kay. The passion in that room full of entrepreneurial minded women was inspiring!

I went to my very first leadership event hosted by the Home Business Academy at the end of the month.

It was a spur of the moment decision that just felt right after being on a training webinar.

I had no idea how i’d get there, or come up with the money for a room and food.

Someone had seen my dedication and hard work.

A friend booked my flight and room. It was meant to be.

I was in awe of all the fire and passion that came together in that space.

I realized the only thing holding me back was my lack of self confidence.

I cried when they spoke of the next event.

As a single mom of 5 at the time, I had no resources.

That afternoon, the last day of the event, I was invited to attend as a guest by a paying attendee.

I cried, I laughed, I hugged her, I shot a video, and I went home determined to get it figured out by the next even 6 weeks later.

At that event, I was asked to speak. It was brief, and I was incredibly nervous. I spoke about how i’m able to create and post content daily.

A whole lot of life happened, and I ended up moving back home to the beach in June of 2014.

We lived with my sons father in his 2 bedroom apartment. 5 children and 2 adults.

We got our own place in November only to have such issues with the owner and the condition of the unit that we had to move back in with my sons father in April 2015.

Lincoln City is a tourist destination, and a large percentage of the homes here are 2nd homes or vacation rentals. Family homes are rare, outrageously expensive, and require a pristine credit history.

My eldest daughter was having a horrible time with the transition and her behavioral issues led eventually living with my mom.

I handled stress very poorly and got a D.U.I. on the 4th of July.

Adam (son’s father) had gotten injured while playing tag at the park during our end of the school year party and required surgery on July 14th.

We found out we were expecting on July 21st.
